RTP Series - RTP1

The "Bootstrap" program. Does the initial load of AREV in association with RTP2 and RTP57. Checks Network (if applicable) and sets up main programs. RTP1 and RTP57 are not actually used as such but are amalgamated into a MetaRTP called REVBOOT on the DOS default directory.

Thus if you wish to change the messages displayed at logon ("Processing...." etc.) by editing the object code of RTP1 the changes will not take effect until you recompile REVBOOT.

To recompile REVBOOT simply log in as AREV BUMP and change your network driver from what it is to something else and then back again to its original state. This should then recompile REVBOOT and next time you log in you will see the changes that you have made. Bear in mind when doing this that the changes you make may impact upon your licensing agreement.

One point to notice with RTP1 is that it will check if you have any installed MFSs on your SYSOBJ file. If you do have it will log you out with a warning message. If you wish to try this, back up your REVMEDIA map first.
